Daily Life: Events, Events, Events

With so many events taking place, the Wuala Event- and Catering-Team was more than busy!

Orbit
Last week, together with LaCie Switzerland, we attended the Orbit, the former leading Swiss IT-exhibition. It was our first joint appearance. We had a really nice time at the Tomac booth (thanks!) and were able to meet many interesting people and users (it was great seeing you guys in real!). And thanks to our Wuala Gift Cards we attracted many new users!

Web Monday
Yesterday, the 7th Web Monday took place in our office. Shafqat introduced his Geneva-based startup NewsCred and told us why he decided to become an entrepreneur, while Mark presented his London-based startup MapVivo and introduced us to the new social travel experience.

It was nice being a host (a short self-praise: food was yummy! ;-)) to an event that is getting bigger and bigger, and it's always great meeting many new faces!

First Community Event, Zurich
Within the beCommunity event series, we're organizing the first Wuala Community Event. The event will take place on Friday, May 29, 7 pm, at Dock18, Rote Fabrik, Zurich. If you're interested in coming (there will be some snacks, a short presentation and a small surprise), let me know asap.

Developer Zone: What's your status?

With the newest release we added a personal status page. To see the page, go to Options > Tools > Advanced (Win/Linux) or Wuala > Preferences > Advanced (Mac) and select "Enable Status Webpage". Now, you can simply click on the link below to access your personal status page in your web browser. You will find interesting information about the Wuala client, e.g. memory usage, traffic statistics, and your storage trading status. You will also find some log messages if you are really interested in Wuala internals.
